TOURS, CATHEDRAL VISITS, CONCERTS

During the year, the choir makes regular appearances in concerts and services throughout the UK, recently including Choral Evensong in St Paul’s, Durham, Winchester, Ely, and Norwich Cathedrals, St George’s Chapel Windsor, and Westminster Abbey, as well as concerts in London, Manchester, Kent, Edinburgh, and Hexham.
 
The choir also undertakes an annual tour (usually international) in the summer (normally in July, but sometimes in September).  Recent destinations have included New Zealand, the USA, Israel and Palestine, Canada, Scotland, Ireland, and much of mainland Europe. September 2010 We saw a successful tour to Ontario and Québec in September 2010, and some photos from this trip can be found below.  A taste of the choir's 2005 tour of New Zealand can be had by looking at a sample of the many photos we took.
 
External events in 2011-2012 include:
  • Choral Evensong in Wakefield, Peeterborough, and Lichfield cathedrals
  • John Armitage Memorial Concerts in St Bride's Fleet Street, and St Leonard's, Hythe, Kent
  • Durufle's Requiem for Remembrance Sunday
  • Christmas Concerts in Bury St Edmunds, Southwark Cathedral, and Lamberhurst, Kent 
  • music by Wagner and Debussy with Sir Mark Elder, in King's Chapel with Clare, Jesus, and Caius Choirs
