Student Telephones

We regret that NTL have withdrawn the ConnectEd telephone service and there are no longer straightforward telephone facilities in student rooms.

There are however a number of alternatives.

1. Skype provides various services, including a SkypeIn, which provides individual call-able telephone numbers - see http://www.skype.com/allfeatures/onlinenumber/ for further details.

2. Freewire also provide a telephone service - see http://www.freewiretv.com/, though it is currently unclear whether it will be viable in the longer run.

3. Vonage provides another service. See http://www.vonage.co.uk

4. There may be other services - try an internet search.

5. Use a mobile  'phone
