Printing and Scanning Facilities

In each computer room there is a colour laser printer, which also has a monochrome mode. In the Library there is a scanner.

The three printers each have two modes - BW (black and white) and Col (colour).

The printers are:

The default printer (i.e. the one that is used automatically unless you change it) for the computers is the -bw one in the room you are in.

Note that the printer in Cripps Court only supports manual double-sided printing; you are advised to use one of the other printers for double-sided prints.

You can print by logging in to one of the PWF computers. In addition, the Library Kiosk machines are set up to print on College printers. You can also print directly from your own PC; to do so you need to install a printer driver on your computer - follow the instructions at http://www.cam.ac.uk/cs/desktop-services/ds-print/individual/individual.html. Regrettably, this facility is not yet available to Mac and Linux users, though we are told to expect developments 'real soon now'!
