College Open Days

Various Dates

Open Days are a great way to come and visit to find out more about Colleges, get a feel for the environment, meet current students and ask any questions about applying to Cambridge. The Cambridge Colleges are open on select days throughout September. It is often possible to visit more than one college in a day.

CUSU Shadowing Scheme

January/February 2018

The Cambridge University Students Union runs an annual shadowing scheme which brings UK students in Year 12 from schools without a tradition of top university entry to Cambridge for three days. Prospective students come to Cambridge and spend time with a current undergraduate, shadowing them for 3 days including attending lectures/seminars, living in student bedrooms and participating in social events.

The scheme runs on the following dates:
18 – 20 January 2018
25 – 27 January 2018
1 – 3 February  2018

Cambridge Teachers' and Advisers' Conference

Thursday 21 September

Cambridge will be hosting a one day Teachers’ and Advisers’ conference at the University of Cambridge. Bringing together experienced admissions staff from across the collegiate University, the day will include sessions on the following topics:

  • An introduction to the admissions process and application and admissions statistics
  • Admissions Assessments and Interviews
  • Engaging with Cambridge – where to access support and information
  • Personal statements and teacher references
  • Supporting students with super-curricular learning
