Selwyn students can use the UL, faculty and departmental libraries and Selwyn Library plus a wealth of online resources.  Here's where to find what you want.

to find print books, ebooks, journal articles, and other materials you might need for your studies in virtually all the university and college libraries. You can limit the results of your search to any one library (eg.. Selwyn); you will often have to click through to the full catalogue record to see the library classmark.

If iDiscover is down, you can try Newton. This is the old catalogue and is broken down into library groupings. The Selwyn section searches all the college libraries from P to W. You'll need to choose the appropriate section if you'd like to check other libraries.

Using other libraries

If you wish to consult a book held in another college, or a faculty library other than your own, contact the library staff where you need to go. In most cases you will be allowed to study the book in the library but not to borrow it. Alternatively, you are welcome to suggest Selwyn buys the book for you.  Call in to the office or use our form; we can often get a book for you within a day or two.
