Salary: £16,037 to £16,516 (FTE £21,869 to £22,523), depending on skills and experience
Hours: 27.5 hours per week (exclusive of meal breaks)
Contract Type: Permanent, subject to six months’ probation
Selwyn College, with a reputation for friendliness and excellent food, is recruiting for a part-time Salad Chef.
Under the direction of the Head Chef, Deputy Head Chef, the Salad Chef will work with the Section Chefs to provide consistently high quality food and contribute to the introduction of innovative salads and cold offerings to enhance the overall dining experience for our customers. Ideally, applicants will be working towards a professional chef qualification and be able to demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of food. However, full training and instruction will be provided, and we welcome applications from those with limited professional kitchen experience. You should also have the ability to work to tight deadlines while providing excellent service at all times. If you have a positive ‘can do’ attitude and are the kind of person who jumps in to help to ensure service is never compromised, we would love to meet you.
