Michelle grew up in Burnham, Slough and attended Beaconsfield High School in Buckinghamshire. She then went on to study Philosophy at UCL, graduating in 2014. During her time at university, she worked on various outreach activities as a Student Ambassador. After graduating, she worked for two years as a Primary School Teacher.
Michelle is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with schools and colleges and encouraging students from different backgrounds to consider applying to Selwyn, or more generally to the University.
She works with students from all year groups (including primary school age) and runs events that focus on the benefits of Higher Education, attending a top institution such as Cambridge or raising aspirations more generally. Michelle co-ordinates the Selwyn Summer Schools, delivers presentations and workshops in visits to state-maintained schools and colleges in Selwyns’s Link Areas, organises and manages school visits to Cambridge as well as attending a range of other events such as UCAS fairs and conferences.
