Selwyn students are representing the University across a remarkable spread of sport, from the familiar to the surprising. The river, the pitch and the track are well covered, with hockey, rowing and cricket among them, but so are rifle shooting, powerlifting, fencing, equestrian sport and dance. Between them, students are active in around two dozen clubs. Stretching oneself through exercise has a positive impact on physical and mental well-being. At Selwyn, that is possible thanks to the support of alumni, who have funded grants across many sports, helping students develop life skills.
