Faith, television and me. Documentary screening and Q&A with ITV Political Correspondent Shehab Khan (SE 2017)

6PM on Tuesday 23 January 2024

Quarry Whitehouse Auditorium

ITV's political correspondent Shehab Khan (SE 2017) will be joining us to show the documentary he made about his journey to the Hajj – and answering questions under the title of “Faith, television and me”.

The documentary "The Hajj: A Journey through Mecca" saw Shehab swapping the corridors of powers in Westminster for Saudi Arabia, where he joined two million Muslims from around the world to complete the Hajj. It is the first time British media has been able to film on-the-ground access in this way, providing a perspective on a deeply significant faith event that is rarely seen on our televisions.

This event will begin with a screening of the documentary starting promptly at 6PM, which will last for 30 minutes. Afterwards, the floor will open for a Q&A with Shehab, moderated by Selwyn College's master Roger Mosey. Questions will be welcomed from both online & in-person audiences.

Shehab is a political correspondent and presenter for ITV News.
