Our Open Days are informal and welcoming, giving you the chance to look around the College, meet current students and members of staff, and ask any questions you may have about Selwyn and the University of Cambridge. It’s a great way to get a sense of the College community and what life as a Selwyn student might be like.

When are the next Open Days?

  • Open Days for 2027 will take place during the summer and autumn. Dates and further details will be published here once confirmed.

Booking is essential for the University events via the Cambridge Open Days website, where you can register for an Open Day ticket and find all the information you need to plan your visit. Each prospective applicant can book a ticket for themselves and one guest.

Once you have registered for the University Open Day, there is no need to make a separate booking to visit Selwyn – simply come along and see us during our opening hours.

What to expect at Selwyn

During your visit, you’ll be able to explore the College, see some of our facilities and accommodation, and talk to current students and staff. There will also be opportunities to find out more about studying at Selwyn and ask questions about the admissions process and College life.

Full details of our 2027 Open Day programme, including opening times, talks and subject sessions, will be added to this page nearer the time.

If I can't come to an Open Day, can I visit Selwyn College at another time?

Yes, of course. If you're in Cambridge at any other time, just come to our Porters' Lodge at the College's main entrance on Grange Road and mention to the Porter on duty that you're thinking of applying to Selwyn. They will have copies of the College prospectus available, and will be able to give you advice on showing yourself around the College grounds.

You can also visit us online through our virtual tour
