Kosovo and the state of Europe: in conversation with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti
Tuesday 7th June at 6.00pm BST
Live audience in the Quarry Whitehouse Auditorium and live-streamed via YouTube
The invasion of Ukraine puts the spotlight on another area of Europe where conflict has been very recent: the Balkans, which were riven by civil war and ethnic cleansing after the collapse of Yugoslavia.
The fear is that Russian aggression will once more destabilise the region. Kosovo has experienced some of the worst of the conflict, and it now wants to join the EU to cement its European identity – but a long and tortuous road lies ahead.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti will be in conversation with the Master of Selwyn and will take questions from our audience. Questions may be sent in advance to: alumni-office@sel.cam.ac.uk
