High Table Dining Privileges for MAs and Higher Degree Holders

MAs of the College, and those holding a higher degree, are invited to dine at High Table. These privileges allow for one dinner at a Tuesday or Thursday High Table per full term, provided you are not currently a student. There are two ways to participate:

  1. MA Dining Nights: MA dining is best arranged on designated MA dining nights, which occur each term. Full details of these nights can be found here. These events are free for alumni, and you may bring a guest, for whom a charge will apply. Please note that numbers are limited, so it is advised to book early and check availability before making any travel arrangements.
  2. Tuesday or Thursday High Table (at Formal Hall): You may also dine at a High Table on any Tuesday or Thursday evening, though only a maximum of two MAs using their dining privileges are permitted on the same night. You cannot bring a guest to these High Table dinners, and the dinner will not proceed if there are insufficient Fellows in attendance. Further information can be found below.

Larger Groups
At the discretion of the Fellows’ Steward and Development Director, larger numbers may be accommodated if there is sufficient demand and space available.

Non-high table Formal Hall Tickets
Alumni may also purchase tickets for Formal Hall. These are available at the non-student price of £22 per person. Please note, this price does not include wine, which can be purchased separately at the bar before dinner. Alumni are permitted to bring up to three guests to Formal Hall, and no more than two alumni may book tickets for the same event.

Important Notes

  • Children under the age of 16 cannot attend dinner or stay overnight in college.
  • Guests dining at High Table must be of graduate age.
  • It is expected that all visitors under 18 will be appropriately supervised.

Please also note that MA and higher degree dining privileges do not extend to lunch, and dinner may not be available on certain evenings. All bookings are subject to the discretion of the Fellows’ Steward.
