This collection of fourteen essays by Christopher Penfold (SE 1960) explores his thoughts and concerns on topics as varied as global warming and the climate crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic, politics, war and peace, civic engagement, the power of books, the possibility of alien life, and the future of our species and the wondrous Blue Planet on which we live.
Infused with a wealth of historical knowledge and dashes of poetry, Shakespeare, and Bob Dylan (to name just a few!), Tipping Points is a thought-provoking book driven by that vital ingredient, currently in such short supply, but which is so essential to the health of our progressive species – hope.
It was created in accordance with his wishes by Steve Warnek and co-editor Robert E. Wood.
Christopher Penfold (1941-2024) was both writer and script editor in British film and television for sixty years during which he either wrote or script edited over 350 hours of prime-time TV including such series as Space: 1999, The Tripods, The Brack Report, and 78 episodes of Midsomer Murders.
