Special Services for Lent Term 2025
EPIPHANY CAROLS Sunday 26 January, 6pm
COMPLINE BY CANDLELIGHT Wednesday 5 February at 9.30pm, followed by port & hot chocolate.
ASH WEDNESDAY EUCHARIST with ashing, Wednesday 5 March, 8pm
LENT MUSIC & READINGS Sunday 18 March, 6pm
Sunday Services
10.30am College Communion (first of Lent Term Sunday 19 January)
A simple but substantial Eucharist with a short homily, hymns and music from a choir cantor or small ensemble. Come and be spiritually fed, then feast on Brunch in Hall.
6pm Choral Evensong
A beautiful traditional service of music, prayers and readings sung by our full choir with a stimulating address by a guest preacher. This is followed by drinks and chapel supper, open to members or non-members by booking here .
Weekday services
8.30 am Morning Prayer
A simple said service of readings and prayers. Begin your day in peace. Upper Chapel, Monday to Thursday throughout term.
6.30pm Choral Evensong
Evening prayer sung by the choir, to lay the burdens of the day down on the days of Formal Hall, Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout term. With a 3-minute student reflection on Tuesdays and a hymn on Thursdays.
