Schools Liaison Officers
The SLOs are responsible for building and maintaining relationships with schools and colleges in our Link Areas, and encouraging passionate and academically-able students from diverse backgrounds to consider applying to Selwyn, or to University more generally. They work with students from all year groups (including primary school age) and run events that focus on the benefits of Higher Education whether in schools or here in College, such as the Selwyn Summer Schools.
Selwyn College has two dedicated Schools Liaison Officers, Mr Stuart Wren and our Northern Schools Liaison Officer, Ms Shireen Nawaz. They can be contacted on schools-liaison@sel.cam.ac.uk. Please use the links below for more information.

Area Links Scheme
Within the Cambridge Area Links Scheme, Selwyn has particular responsibility for building ties with schools and colleges in West Yorkshire and parts of Berkshire.
Specifically we aim to work in the following local authorities:
- Bracknell Forest, Maidenhead, Slough and Windsor in Berkshire
- Calderdale, Leeds, Wakefield, Huddersfield and Kirklees in West Yorkshire
Our Schools Liaison Officers are responsible for outreach in these areas. They can be contacted on schools-liaison@sel.cam.ac.uk
Connect to Cambridge
The Connect to Cambridge scheme has been designed to promote greater links between the Colleges and schools in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. As part of this scheme, Selwyn College is linked with Long Road Sixth Form and North Cambridge Academy.
It should be emphasised that these links are made on behalf of all the Colleges and the University – a particular College certainly does not have exclusive rights to a particular area. Selwyn welcomes applications from students from any geographical area and any educational and social background.
