3.5 College Discrimination and Harassment Contacts

Body

The College is committed to the principle that all members of the Selwyn community should feel included and that they will be supported in the event that they have concerns or experience situations in which that is not the case. In addition to the other aspects of the College’s pastoral support and the various policies that reflect our commitment to everyone being treated with dignity and respect, the College has five designated Discrimination and Harassment Contacts whose role is to provide confidential support to students who may be experiencing any form of discrimination, harassment, or sexual misconduct.

This could include anything linked to a 'protected characteristic' (race, religion and belief, disability, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, age, pregnancy and maternity, marriage and civil partnership, or sex).

The contacts will support equality within each College, as well as advising students who have experienced harassment on reporting options, and referring them to specialists for help.
Reporting options in College are outlined in the policy on Respect and Dignity and any student can also make a complaint using the University procedures for dealing with inappropriate behaviour:  https://www.studentcomplaints.admin.cam.ac.uk/harassment-sexual-misconduct/i-want-know-more-about-universitys-policies.

The contacts are:

Dr Ronita Bardhan
Dr Mike Sewell
Dr Robert Tasker
Dr Charlotte Woodford
